How do I book a trip?
If you have additional questions about booking, give us a call at (843) 697-2081 or email us at captainjames@reelfishfinder.com.
We book on a first come, first serve basis. It's advised that you book at least 2 weeks in advance to get the available time. However, if we have an opening, we are happy to accommodate your requests!
How far in advance do I need to book a trip?
We require a 48 hour notice for your trip cancellation to be fully refundable. We realize that last minute things do come up, but any cancellations less than 48 hours in advance will lose the $50.00 minimum deposit.
What is the cancellation policy?
If the Captain determines that it is unsafe or will be unpleasant to have your excursion, we will be happy to reschedule or refund your trip as you determine.
What if there is bad weather?
At minimum, be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, and polarized sunglasses. These items will both make your experience more enjoyable and protect you from the harsh sun. You will need to wear shoes with light colored or non-skid marking soles. Depending upon the weather, a light weight rain jacket may also be desired. Lastly, this is an experience you don't want to forget. Be sure to bring along your preferred way to take pictures. Captain James will take some for you along the way as well. Please note that Reel Fish Finder Charters are not responsible for any loss or damages.
What should I bring?
We do participate in the catch and release program, however, if you would like to take your catch or trophy fish home, you may certainly do so. We do strictly adhere to all SC DNR fishing rules and regulations.
Do I keep my catch?
We will provide all licenses, rods, reels, tackle, bait and ice.
Who provides the equipment?
We will provide all you need. However, if you have a favorite fishing pole or tackle you would like to bring, feel free to bring it along.
Can I bring my own equipment?
We have no problem with you bringing your drink aboard and will be happy to put it into the boat cooler. Just please refrain from bringing glass bottles as it's a safety hazard. Don't forget your Koozie!
Can I bring alcohol with me?
Who cleans the fish?
We will be happy to clean and bag your catch. Just remember to bring a personal cooler with ice to take your fish home.
Typically, we pick clients up from Waters Edge or RED's Ice House. Other options are Isle of Palms Marina, Charleston Marina, Remley's Point, or Wapoo Cut. However, we will be happy to discuss at any other Charleston area pick up locations.
What marinas/landings do you pick up from?
We will provide plenty of ice. You are welcome to bring along drinks and snacks that we can place in the boat cooler. Please refrain from bringing anything stored or served in glass as it is a safety hazard.
